Past week, I attended the SAE International‘s WorldCongressExperience (SAE WCX) at HuntingtonPlace in Detroit. It was my third time already, that I participated actively in this event as a speaker in a special session. This year the session on “Electric Vehicle Drivetrain Dynamics for in-wheel motors Application” was chaired by my colleague Dr. Valentin Ivanov.
In my speech, I presented my recent research on “Integrated Chassis Control for Energy-Efficient Operation of a 2WD Battery-Electric Vehicle with In-Wheel Propulsion”, that was started with the EVC1000 Project and is currently investigated in the HighScape project. Both are funded by the European Commission and CINEA.
I’d like to express my gratitude to my co-authors Thomas Mitsching, Sebastian Gramstat, Matthias Lenz, and Valentin Ivanov, from AUDI and Smart Vehicle Systems – Working Group, respectively, who remarkably contributed with their ideas and expertise to the article and presentation.
Besides the interesting sessions and professional aspects of the congress, I also took the opportunity to network with other researchers in person, looking forward to continue talks and exchange on interesting ideas.
